Legislature and DHHR choosing corporations over kids again

Real loyalty to family values means protecting kids from being hurt or exploited.  But DHHR Deputy Secretary Jeremiah Samples and his supporters in the legislature want to exploit kids in our foster care system by handing over their care to a out-of-state corporation

They want to outsource the management of foster child welfare to a Managed Care Organization (MCO), a company that could make big profits by denying medical care and limiting services to some of our state’s most vulnerable kids.  When Texas used an MCO to coordinate care for foster kids, they were frequently denied necessary medical services.  Critical decisions about child welfare should be made together with the family caring for the child, not by a company sending profits to shareholders.  Tell your legislators today!
